We came upon these hand loomed Ikat Dupattas while traveling in Andrah Pradesh, India. Ikats can often be intricately patterned and predominantly earthy in color. These Andrah ikats are woven with quite minimal ikat motifs in more simple and graphic combinations of colors, lending a certain simplicity and elegance.
In India, men and women wear these long scarves over one shoulder, or draped across the torso, over the shoulders, and down the back. We also suggest wearing them as a statement maxi scarf, sarong, or beach wrap.
